September Newsletter

Happy September!

During the month of August, we provided food and essential personal items in 74 different cases helping families and individuals in need. Our food pantry is open Monday through Friday from 9-3. If you or someone you know is in need of food, please give us a call to schedule a pick up.

Feet First
We held our Feet First program during August, and it was a great success! This year we helped more than 400 children start the new school year with their best foot forward! Check out these smiling faces, all ready to start the school year. Thank you to everyone who gave their support to this program. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Thank You!
Many Thanks to (g)row for the fabulous formula donations from the “Babies and Beers” event held at Common Roots Brewing Company in August. Awesome and Appreciated!

I know school has only just started, but it’s already time to start thinking about Christmas. Our annual Christmas Adopt-A-Family program will open for applications on Tuesday, October 11th at 9am. Applications will be taken over the phone. 518-793-0797. Please be patient and keep trying, our phone lines will be very busy. DO NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE. You must talk to a staff member to process your application. Eligible families are accepted on a first-come, first served basis and applications will be taken until the program is full.

If you’re looking for an opportunity to give back this holiday season, consider adopting a family this year! Reach out to us for more information on sponsoring a family during the holidays.

Outdoor Fridays
We had to miss a couple of Fridays in August due to Feet First, but now that it’s September, we’re back! Every Friday from 10-2, weather permitting, we’ll be set up outside for Outdoor Fridays. We have several great providers hosting tables this month, including AHI, Job Corps, and NY Connects.

RAM Clinic Coming Back
Remote Area Medical, RAM, is coming to the Washington County Fairgrounds again this year! RAM is a pop-up dental, vision, and medical clinic that provides all services for FREE on a first-come, first-served basis. No ID is required. RAM will be in Greenwich on September 17 and 18, 2022. Check out their website at for more details!
