Family Service Association of Glens Falls, Inc. helped many families and individuals with urgent situations throughout the year. We received extraordinary support this past year, and want to extend a special thank you to those agencies, businesses, and community members: Tri County United Way, Glens Falls Foundation, Adirondack Foundation and Cloudsplitter, AHI, Adirondack Outreach Services, local donors, businesses, schools and the Faith community. Thank You! With your support, we were able to help in more than 2100 total cases during 2021.
Thank you to The Atrium Group for including us in their ribbon cutting ceremony in Glens Falls and providing financial support towards our Emergency Christmas Fund. The in-kind support received for our holiday programs was extraordinary this year. During this holiday season, we did not have to turn any families away. Each family was extremely appreciative and had some beautiful words of thanks.
“Thank you for helping my family in our time of need.”
“Thank you for helping my family, we greatly appreciate it.”
“Thank you for making my 3 boys smile.”
“You have brought much joy.”
Looking Ahead
We’re already preparing for another excellent year and look forward to all that is to come in 2022. We are still open and taking assistance calls, despite the hardships the pandemic brings. This year, just like last, all of our programs will stay up and running. Thanks to 100 Women Who Care Northeast Chapter, Adirondack Trust Lend a Hand Grant, and Alfred Z Solomon Trust for their support for our coming 2022 Feet First Program.
“Outdoor Fridays” was a big hit in 2021. We held a weekly outdoor distribution of fresh produce, clothes, and household items on Fridays, weather permitting. There was no charge for any item and we hosted outreach tables for information on vaccines, employment opportunities, nutrition and health insurance. “Outdoor Fridays” was a safe and welcoming event for all and we look forward to starting again in the spring of 2022.
Just a reminder!
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are still operating with distancing guidelines in place. We are taking all assistance requests by phone. If anyone needs food or other assistance, just give us a call. We will put together a box of food and place it on our distribution table outside our building at a convenient time for you to pick up, with no in-person contact necessary. We understand this has been a trying time for all of us. Thank you for your ongoing cooperation and support.
Please give us a call if you or your family is in need. Our phone number is 518-793-0797.
