February Newsletter

Happy February! Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow yesterday, which means we’ve got six more weeks of winter to come. Last month felt like a never-ending January, but we’ve been here providing food and assistance to a steady stream of families and individuals. During the month, we received an allotment of KN95 masks from local officials and have already handed out the majority of them! COVID-19 has been a struggle that many of our families are dealing with right now. If you or someone you know is struggling and has an urgent need, please reach out to us.

Fresh Fruits and Veggies

A big thank-you goes to Comfort Foods for keeping our pantry stocked with a variety of fresh fruits and veggies during this winter season. Over the past few weeks, we’ve been able to supplement each food pantry with varying types of fresh options, including carrots, potatoes, apples, sweet potatoes, and several types of squash. Fresh produce can be hard to come by during the winter months, so thank you Comfort Foods for supplying us with delicious variety!

Just a reminder!

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are still operating with distancing guidelines in place. We are taking all assistance requests by phone. If anyone needs food or other assistance, just give us a call. We will put together a box of food and place it on our distribution table outside our building at a convenient time for you to pick up, with no in-person contact necessary. We understand this has been a trying time for all of us. Thank you for your ongoing cooperation and support.

Please give us a call if you or your family is in need. Our phone number is 518-793-0797.
